So, when should you take the expenses out from the heloc? All at once close to the closing date?

How does someone like me who is living paycheck to paycheck get help with my finances and trying to learn velocity banking when the amount to go over my finances is 300$? How can most people afford that? I’m trying to learn but good grief.

Could you please help me understand how to do velocity banking without a heloc or mortgage. Maybe a case study ? We have a few credit cards that are maxed out limit’s between 500-1500. My husband makes good money we just don’t mange well.

It seems that you should’ve started with a $9000 total credit card balance then subtracted the $4605 instead you use a $7000 balance and subtracted $4605. That’s the part that confuses me and I feel like that’s not correct.

I understand why you put the 2500+ the 105 payment in there but you also added the $2000 expenses and they are to make it 4605 when the $2000 expenses is an addition to the $7000 balance on the card it’s not a subtraction.

I make about $8400 a month after taxes and retirement. My bill, mortgage ect add up to $4500. Will this method work for me with a Heloc of 8%? Kinda skeptical of trying it.

I listened to these other VB gurus and they told me the interest rate on the PLOC did not make a huge difference. I went with the second bank that offered me their best rate at 14% interest rate… ugh. After listening to you, I found a credit union in the area at 9% but now its too late 🥺

Velocity Banking works when LOC (Heloc) interest rate is lower than the other debts, and net monthly income is just sitting in the checking account earning nothing. Saying VC works is like saying putting money in a saving acc is better than having money sitting in checking account. Of course some interest earned is better than no interest earned. But there are better vehicles to earn more interest like CD, Treasury Bond, or long term index fund investing. Thus, there are better methods out there than VC.

That's a pretty good message on a serious topic. It's noteworthy that the 10% requirement specifically comes from the Hebrew translation of tithe “עשר” for “ten”. We do have a specific number given and no indication of any amendment to that figure in the new covenant. Is it still in force? As indicated by today's guest, every penny coming to anyone in life comes from God. That is a spectacular level of understanding.. There is something worth considering further about it that the return of 10% of gross going weekly to the mission of a faithful church would be a tithe, if it's stated very carefully in a certain kind of way. The woman scolded for returning only two mites as her tithe was commended by Jesus Himself when He revealed she gave all she had, which was 100%. I'm of the understanding that Jesus would have used the occasion to announce the end of the tithe. At the same time, it appears that percentage-wise, she out-returned everyone present in her tithe, yet, she was unjustly scolded for it.

Ugh, I can't handle people that would transfer portions of 5% debt into a 13% debt instrument, just because they think amortization is some magic front loaded interest monster...All interest is calculated exactly the same way.

I might not do philosophy banking but it certainly taught me the value of getting a line of credit.. I have 0% financing on a credit card until September 2025. If for some reason ( acvient/illness) I don't have it paid off by then, the interest goes to 28%.!.. At that time, i'd be better off to use my line of credit..15.74%..loc can be a bachup plan Unfortunately my credit score is just shy of 719 which is the required credit score to get a line a credit at my credit union.

I got this offer also. I used it last year to pay off $10k that I had on a 8.5%HELOC. I paid a $300 fee, then $1k per month to pay off that card in 10 months.
